Lower East Side is home to boutique clothing, eclectic performance venues and bubbling nightlife. The architecture in LES is mostly original, 5-6 story walk ups with few new development projects and practically no Town Homes. Condos, Coops and Rental buildings make up the majority of residential ownership. In the summer, the Lower East Side is filled with street vendors and Orchard Street is constantly transformed into street fairs and neighborhood events. Many great places to eat, including Kat’s Deli and the Meatball Shop.
